Why the main Bratislava airport is actually in Vienna
There is one funny thing about Bratislava. Well, there are more fun things about our city, but right now, we’d like to talk about the airport. We kinda have two of ’em. One in Bratislava and the other one in Vienna. Yes, you read that correctly. Vienna… Like another city. Like… Another country. It’s weird, we know, but keep on reading…
The thing is, Bratislava and Vienna are super close to each other. As far as we know, those two cities are the closest capitals in Europe. It takes just 50 minutes by bus from the Vienna International Airport to Bratislava. And that bus, ladies and gentlemen, is super comfortable.
It costs 5 EUR and departs every 30 mins. You will get comfy leather seats, touch screen with music and movies on every seat, headphones, free wifi & free coffee or hot beverage of your choice. And the staff speaks English.
So in case, you’re checking flights to Bratislava and you can’t find any flights don’t panic just yet. It’s perfectly okay to fly to Vienna and then just take a quick and comfortable bus ride to Bratislava.
