Does Bratislava really need 5 kizomba festivals?

Bratislava is a small city. Only 500,000 inhabitants and what more, most of them don’t even dance kizomba 🙂
Yet we are soon going to have five kizomba festivals. Why? Well looks like we really do love kizomba in here.
There is FLAC in January, Pikante in April, Toma-Toma in July, MEKUIA in November (I heard it’s going to be awesome btw ;)), and Bratislava Winter Festival in December.
Isn’t it a bit too much, you might ask?
Well… We are doing our best to bring you the highest quality and organize an event, that will stay in our minds for a long time. The 3 things we are striving for are: authenticity, quality and family atmosphere.
So far, we’ve managed to book these amazing artists and DJs:
– Dasmara & Iolanda (Angola)
– Oncle Kani & Blackcherry (Congo, Central African Republic)
– Vamula / Łukasz and Karolina (Poland)
– Paweł and Marly (Poland)
None of these four couples were teaching in Slovakia before, but if you travel for kizomba, you’ve definitly met them at some of the best festivals in Europe.
You can find their beautiful dancing videos on our Facebook. Oh, you’re not following us, yet? Well, you totally should. First of all, you will make us happy, secondly you might find the content there really interesting.
At the parties, these 4 gentlemen will make sure we listen only to the nicest kizombas, ghetto zouk, tarraxinha, semba, retro zouk and maybe also a bit of kuduro and afro-house:
– DJ Sabura (Portugal)
– DJ Supaman (Portugal / Slovakia)
– DJ Dasmara (Angola)
– DJ Kapitula (Holland)
If you are on Soundcloud or Mixcloud, just look them up, and listen to their awesome sets. You will love ’em!
So… Back to the main question? Does Bratislava need another festival? Yes, it does. Why? Because there is no such thing as too much kizomba. And even if it would, “too much kizomba” is still not enough, right? 🙂
